A statement of solidarity and a call for peace

Our hearts ache for all the people of the Middle East. We call on the international community to redouble its efforts to reduce humanitarian suffering and protect innocent people. Targeting of civilians is a war crime, no matter who does it.

Greenpeace condemns all forms of violence, captures, massacres, human rights violations and grave international crimes.

In shock by the events that continue to unfold, Greenpeace stands in solidarity with everyone affected. We hope that all parties involved in the violent conflict will immediately stop fighting so that innocent lives can be saved.

Greenpeace supports calls for an immediate ceasefire and for urgent humanitarian aid to be delivered. We support calls for the immediate return of all hostages.

The cycle of violence will continue to perpetuate itself, if this is allowed to go on, many more will suffer.
