Greenpeace comment on the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize laureates

Amsterdam, The Netherlands – The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the 2022 #NobelPeacePrize to human rights advocate Ales Bialiatski from Belarus, the Russian human rights organisation Memorial and the Ukrainian human rights organisation Center for Civil Liberties. 

Greenpeace congratulates the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize laureates and salutes their courage and perseverance in speaking truth to power. The struggle for peace and human rights remains more urgent than ever and is one that we must all support. Civil society plays a critical role in our journey towards towards a Green and Peaceful planet.
